The opening section is driven by the insistence of a looping, syncopated riff. This piece was one of the earliest additions to the project. As the sky ignites the wildlife shake themselves back into life once again. The sections explore the perpetual struggle between predator and prey and the reversal of fortunes within the natural pecking order. Finally dusk, as the sun sleeps in circles and the mist rolls slowly across the fen. The moor transforms once more toward the nocturnal canvas that the darkness offers. At last, the sun begins to breathe life back into a new day, as the cycle begins again.
