Girl Like That

My friend George called. "Hey Dave." He spoke, with that warm whisky brogue of an Aberdonian. "Any chance you could pop over and record on a track of mine?" The only track I ended up playing bass and singing the vocals on for him. The lyric began with, "The note by the telephone, was all that she left." No wee biggie, but months later I called George to come over and record a solo for me on the only song of mine he ever played on, which began, "Why am I here, standing by the telephone, alone." Spooky, no not really, but come on, I had to write something and the paparazzi are already banging on the door ~ again!
