Multitracked using just one bass guitar and a Zoom B2 effects pedal. This piece explores the difference in sound above and below water. It tells the story of Snorkel Head, a guy who lives for the times he spends in the sea. The music conveys his preparation and urgency, his journey, distractions, people he meets as he travels to the sea. His run down the beach and dive into the sea. The sounds change to reflect the oceanic beauty below as he holds his breath and swims deeper. With his lungs burning for air, we hear his return to the surface and the intrusion of sound around him. Finally, he makes it home, his head touches the pillow and he is instantly asleep. Take the plunge!
